GREETING: how do people greet each other in Tunisia?



Greeting in Tunisia



Greeting is an act of communication in which human beings intentionally make their presence known to each other to suggest a type of relation ship and to suggest social status between individuals or group of people coming in contact with each other.Every country  has each own way of greeting for example in tunisia people used many way of greeting .                                      
Greeting depend on many field . First of all, greeting depend on social status sush  as some tunisian people especially the poor start greeting high classes by shaking hands to show  respect .Second,  according to the relation ship the evrey day greeting for friends is a hand shake for both men and women, and sometimes kiss on the cheek for both:(two times or more than that).  Another way of greeting used by friends which is  a hug or a pat on  the back.    Third, greeting also related to the age for example young people greet each other  by high-five or they shake hands .But adults kiss on the cheek and also use a hug for close friends and family and sometimes young people start the first to greet old people in order to show respect . Finally, according to gender, women and men greet both male and female by shake hands and kisses on the cheek especially for the close friends or family .Sometimes men pat each other on the back.
